American Printing: A Foundation in Service…
Paul Carroll is the founder and president of American Printing.
After graduating Barrington College with a B.S. in music, he tried his hand at teaching music in public schools. Restless and unsatisfied, he took over the family business from his father, Harry.
In his early years as a print broker he soon realized that depending on print companies to meet his customers' demands was turbulent at best. In order to not rely on these companies to serve his customers' needs, he took the plunge and started his own printing company. Equipment was bought and employees were hired and American Printing got its start.
Since then, American Printing has thrived based on its commitment to customer satisfaction. We have earned many loyal customers throughout the years. Growing from a small printing shop in an apartment building to owning our building in a professional industrial park is the result.
Paul has fostered a family-like atmosphere at American where kidding around is permitted and customer service is paramount. American Printing has a very low employee turn around rate and a walk through the company will find a professional and relaxed atmosphere in which everyone is very happy to work.
Paul’s early business ventures includes a memorable excursion into the non-sports collectors card business. Lime Rock International, co-founded by Paul, was on the forefront of the card-collecting craze of the early 90’s. Lime Rock’s series included “Heroes of the Gulf War” and "Sports Cars" among many others.
After a memorable meeting with the legendary E.C. (Entertaining Comics) founder, William Gains, Paul secured the rights to release a “Mad Magazine” cover series which became very popular. Paul has a full press sheet framed in his office as a memento of this period.
He is happily married to his wife Debbie of 32 years and is the proud father of two children, Heather and Stephen who are both graduates of Messiah College.
Paul is also married to his other love in life, aviation. Paul has been a licensed pilot for 20 years. He is a highly trained pilot and teaches formation flying. He is actively involved in several aviation organizations. In addition to flying all over the country he has flown in the Australian Outback, New Zealand, the Bahamas, and Grand Cayman. He recently flew throughout the Canadian Yukon and Alaskan wilderness. It was "The flight of a lifetime."
